"As the very first commencement of every good thing, so likewise the progress, continuance and confirmation, nay, even the perseverance in good, are not from ourselves, but from God through the Holy Spirit" — James Arminius
Can Calvinism Offer Any Real Hope to Parents Struggling With The Possibility of Their Children Being Non-Elect?

What a stupid question.Worry about something else.Know body knows who the elect are.We that do believe, live in a hope that we are in that number.
A “stupid question”? This is a profoundly significant question, and the tone of your rather rude response reveals that you are threatened by it. And please take note that the word “hope” is not used anywhere in all of Scripture to refer to a “hope that we are in that number”. What type of assurance is that? It is exactly this type of thing that has caused me to turn away from Calvinism.
“We that do believe, live in a hope that we are in that number.”
– “Good luck” to you then. 😀
Kidding aside, do you have children?
Just hope you are elect. Not a bad summation of Calvinism.
